Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Oddscouter ("we", "us"), operated by Zachary Jones, collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to https://www.oddscouter.com and the Service described in our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself), your confirmation that you are 21 or older, and when you accepted our Terms.
- Profile and preferences: an optional display name, time zone, odds format and app settings.
- Content you create: saved filters, watchlists, bets you record, notes, and forum posts.
- Billing information: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive a customer ID, your subscription status and plan, and invoice amounts and dates. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Usage and device information: sign-in times, IP address, browser type, the pages and features you use, and security logs.
- Communications: messages you send us, such as support emails.
How we use it
- to provide, run and secure the Service, including signing you in and preventing fraud and abuse;
- to process subscriptions and send transactional emails, such as verification, password reset, receipts and important account notices;
- to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it, mostly through aggregated statistics;
- to show anonymous totals to other users, such as how many people are watching a bet, without ever revealing who; and
- to comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't use advertising cookies.
Cookies
We use only cookies that the Service needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Our payment provider, Stripe, may set its own cookies on its checkout pages.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Stripe, for payments and billing;
- our hosting and database providers, which store the Service's data; and
- our email delivery provider, for account emails.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights, safety or security, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except for what we must keep for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons, such as billing records. Forum posts may remain, attributed to "deleted user".
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.
Your rights and choices
You can view and update your account information in the Service. You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, or delete your account by emailing 2zacharyjones2@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We'll verify your request by confirming control of your account email, and we respond within the time the law requires.
Age limits
The Service is only for people 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a minor has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where we process data
We operate in, and store data in, the United States.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we'll tell you by email or in the Service.
